Bethsaida: Lush, beautiful, fantastical; yet with the over-immaculate grooming of a high-end putt putt course. |
Spent the holiday weekend at Bethsaida, a resort on the Arabian Sea where Catholicism, Ayurveda, Hinduism and hedonism coexist peaceably and a bit improbably. Hymns wafted from the chapel while guests sun bathed, sun saluted, took mysterious Ayruvedic treatments; then came to meals in robes and head wraps. I was happy to catch up with my friend Kaye and her colleague Jenna, who teach at the American School in Delhi, sip coconut water, swim and go pleasantly adrift for a few days.
Reunited with my friend Kaye, whom I've known since our Evening Sun days. |
